Image Comics partners sign for hundreds at Vancouver comic shop

The line was out the door and around the corner.

VANCOUVER, Wash. — All the current Image Comics partners, the founding fathers of Image Comics, if you will, got together on Saturday, Jan. 11 to do a signing at I Like Comics in Vancouver, Washington.

And they were received with a warm welcome: an absolutely packed shop and a line out the door and down the block.

Image Comics was founded in 1992 and now has the six creators who were signing sitting on its Board of Directors. At the signing was Robert Kirkman (Oblivion Song, The Walking Dead), Erik Larsen (Savage Dragon), Todd McFarlane (Spawn), Marc Silvestri (The Darkness, Cyber Force), Eric Stephenson (Nowhere Men), and Jim Valentino (ShadowHawk).

For more from this signing, including a chat with the creators and owner of I Like Comics, Chris Simons, head over to youtube.com/kgwcomics. The interviews will be up with the weekly comic review video on Tuesday, Jan. 14.
