PORTLAND, Ore. — KGW is announcing changes to its Sunrise and early evening anchor lineups, effective June 17.
Chynna Greene will join Drew Carney to anchor KGW Sunrise, along with meteorologist Rod Hill, and traffic anchor Chris McGinness. Chynna is an Emmy award-winning journalist who joined KGW in August 2023. Before coming to Portland, she worked as a morning anchor and reporter in Seattle, where she specialized in breaking news.
Christine Pitawanich will move from KGW Sunrise to evenings, anchoring KGW News at 5pm and 6pm with David Molko and meteorologist Matt Zaffino. She will also anchor The Good Stuff at 7pm. Christine is an Emmy-award winning journalist who joined KGW in 2015 as a general assignment reporter, earning an Edward R. Murrow Award for her work on the KGW documentary Overwhelmed: Inside Oregon’s ICUs. She moved to anchoring KGW Sunrise in October 2022.
