OREGON CITY, Ore. — A 51-year-old woman was hit by a vehicle and killed Wednesday evening in Oregon City.
The crash occurred at around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Molalla Avenue and Pearl Street.
The woman was in a crosswalk when she was hit by the driver of a Toyota pickup truck, who was turning left to go southbound on Molalla Avenue, according to Oregon City police.
Lifesaving efforts were attempted but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She was identified as Josefina Rojas-Bernadino, of Gresham.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
