PORTLAND, Ore. — A body was recovered in the Columbia River near Bonneville Dam by Cascades Locks on Saturday morning, the Skamania County Sheriff's Office confirmed.
Bonneville Dam employees discovered the body upriver from the dam just after 10 a.m., authorities said. The body is now with the Medical Examiner's Office and the Skamania County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
The sheriff's office said they do not believe the person's death is the result of foul play, but the incident is still under investigation.
The person's identity has not yet been reported. It is unknown at this time how they died.
