PORTLAND, Ore. — Each week, KGW provides a list of events you may want to try in the Portland area over the weekend.

Snowvana
Winter is right around the corner and you can get prepared by heading to Snowvana this weekend at the Oregon Convention Center. The event is billed as “the ultimate celebration of snow sports with films, music, gear, beer, wellness center, art, and kids’ zone.” Resorts will also be offering discounted lift tickets. KGW's Cassidy Quinn will be there! Early bird ticket special to Snowvana is $10.

BrewLights
Experience the amazing sights of Zoo Lights without all those children around at the third annual BrewLights. There will dozens of local beer vendors to sample from. There will also be food carts, live music and a photo opportunity with Santa. Tickets are $40 and include a souvenir cup and 10 tastings.

Portland’s Singing Christmas Tree
Christmas is a little more than a month away. But if you want to get in the spirit of the season, you can find it this weekend at Portland’s Singing Christmas Tree. The two-hour musical production features a choir with more than 300 people and several dance numbers. Tickets range from $20 to $60. The musical will also be performed next weekend, Nov. 29 to Dec. 1.

Night Market Vancouver
It’s also time to start thinking about what you’re going to get loved ones this holiday season. You may find the perfect gift at the Night Market Vancouver holiday market. More than 80 vendors will be on hand. There will also be live music, drinks and food.

Portland Flea & Food
You may also find the perfect gift this holiday season at Portland Flea & Food. The market is held on the last Sunday of each month. There will be more than 60 vendors selling vintage furniture, décor, clothing, locally made goods, functional art, plants and more.

Tamale Festival
Are you a tamale fan? You can fill your craving at the 2nd annual Fiesta de Tamales. In addition to $10 tamale plate specials, you can learn how to make tamales at home. The festival benefits the Hillsboro Schools Foundation and participants of the Hillsboro Chamber’s Prospering Communities program.

Wild Arts Festival
Take in some of the Northwest’s best nature-related art at the Wild Arts Festival. Discover the work of regionally and nationally acclaimed artists and bid in the silent auction. Proceeds support the conservation, environmental education and wildlife rehabilitation work of Portland Audubon.

Portland Winterhawks
The Winterhawks season is underway and you have two opportunities to see them this weekend. Portland takes on the Everett Silvertips on Saturday and the Saskatoon Blades on Sunday.
